... yet again fall prey to Insane Detail Disease.
Had to step back tonight from the 1/144 F/A-18C Hornet I'm building for a friend whose son-in-law flies them. It's going on the old Fujimi carrier deck base with the tractor and a few deck apes about; it's nicely detailed, complete with a decent jet blast deflector and holes for the tie downs. And I started thinking thinking, "You know, I bet I could glue some 30 gauge wire together to make the pad eyes ... and there's only about a hundred of them ... and it wouldn't take longer than a week ..."
This, of course, was after I'd spent an hour painting the squadron logo on the pilot's helmet with a 15/0 brush that had like three bristles on it ...
