I like 3M spray adhesives myself!

You can pick up small cans at such places as hardware, office or craft stores. I use them for a lot of uses so I generally get the BIG CAN they are cheaper (per ounce) .

What about a hot glue gun?  A blob of glue on the base then push the patch onto it should hold it nicely. Thumbs Up [tup]

Hi  Brent....back again at my GF's order....er...request. I swear....we shouldn't tell most of them anything!

Her suggestion for your mountings: Have your items sewn to a piece of felt or other fabric of a color that flatters your subject.....then cut a piece of cardboard to a size that will leave a border around your patch (I suggest thin modeler's basswood or luan).

Trim the fabric your patch is sewn to....make it a size where you can fold the fabric around the cardboard and rubber cement the edges to the backside.....once that is dry.....you can use epoxy or whatever to hold your fabric covered card to your plaque/base.

Need advice on glueing fabric to wood bases.....

I have two wood bases that I'm finishing up. One base will have a unit patch put on it, and the second base will have a german cuff title put on it. The bases are nothing fancy. They have been stained and two coats of clear polyeurathane based sealer have been applied.

My question is this..........What is the best way to secure each fabric item to the wood base? White glue? Super glue? Epoxy?

I can't apply anything to heavy to the patch for fear of it seeping through the front.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
