I use squadron.com the most, but sometimes I'll search for better deals by typing in kit type and maker into my search engine.

As far as tools and supplies I use Micro Mark and Model Expo.  Squadron also has a fair amount of tools and supplies.

I usually use Model Master paints and order directly from Testors.  My theory being the paint may be sitting on the shelves for less time if I order right from the factory.

Hey,

Been buying from www.Squadron.com since '91 when they were strictly mail-order catalogs and now buy regularly online. Still enjoy getting their awesome, huge 4-color catalogs!  Their site is a bit primitive and its search function crude but they're still king.  Also have had great experiences recently with www.Spruebrothers.com whose owner is a modern aircraft kit builder, very knowledgeable and straight shooter on returns, etc. Their basic shipping is USPS 2nd Day Priority and I've ordered mid-week several times and received my stuff either Friday or Sat, just in time for a Sat. night model-palooza. Also, they often show low inventories of many items but it's real time and accurate.  If the site shows 1 or 2 of something they actually have it (he's very proud of that and readily points out that's not always true with others!). I've ordered several things showing just 1 in stock and have never been disappointed.

And I haven't bought from them yet, but will soon, but have spent a fair amount of time exploring www.megahobby.com. They have a tremendous selection, LOTS of accessories, add-ons and tools and searches come up well organized with just about everything they carry related to the keyword. Their's is definitely the easiest search engine to use I've seen.

I like SprueBrothers.com and then Squadron.com. I've had the best luck with them.

Also Ebay can be a good source for kits.  Probably best to ask the seller several questions about the condition of the kit, especially decals.

Wow,  what a good question to ask and believe me this subject has been covered before in the forums.

In my experience Squadron & Great Models will get my nod.  Now, other ones have been brought up in the post and I have used just about all of them at various times.  In all I have had a great to good experience with them as far as availability and time in shipping.  Prices vary from site to site so be patient and look around before you buy.  One sight might have your item of choice cheaper than the other.  Also, be careful with Ebay because sometimes the kits are shipped to you from the other side of the world and that takes time.  The term "look at the fine print" applies big time when ordering kits online.

I have to say this is one of the best places to ask a question.  You have an abundance of people here that order often online and you will be getting very good advice on this subject and many others.

I, myself have been ordering from the british site www.modelsforsale.com, where I get the kit just after 3-4 working days. They have a nice range and such, and works very well for me :)

And indeed this is the best place to ask for help.. Always I've seengood questions with great answears! I'm trying to be as active as I can here.. but gosh, it's hard with a post every 5 minutes.. :)

I buy a lot of AM products from www.justplanehobbies.com. They have a large assortment of cockpits and such.

I find a ton of great deals on ebay. I just landed a nice Tamiya Dewoitine D.520 for about 16.00 with shipping.

As others stated Squadron is top notch.Thumbs Up [tup]
