Douglas writes: “This Trumpeter 1/35 scale Stryker took me exactly one year to build. The scratchbuilt interior took three months, the exterior with all the photoetched metal (Griffon Model and Eduard) took four months, and the slat armor took me two months using a soldering iron and super glue. The diorama has real, filtered sand from Iraq; the figures (Warriors and Verlinden) took the remaining four months. After all was completed, the model weighed in at 2.3 pounds — almost to scale!”
