scale trawler/minesweeper, [HMS] Sir Kay,
a Round Table-class ship. The model
has a fiberglass hull, plywood deck and bridge structure, and white metal
fittings. I love ships with character, and weathering is very much a part of
that. The rust is in different shades of hull red, orange, yellow and black to
simulate corroded bare metal and paint stained by runoff from these areas.”
