Kitbashing and conversion enabled Paul to build
the 1/48 scale Harrier he wanted, modeling a GR.3 from 3(F) Squadron, Royal Air
Force, Germany. “I made this for an RAF pilot after he told me it was his
favorite aircraft to fly. I combined the nose and tail fairing from an Airfix
GR.3 kit with the more-detailed Monogram GR.1 to produce an accurate
GR.3. Rocket pods are resin from Flightpath; the base is from 3Wire
Design. “It was an interesting challenge, as I don’t normally build jets,” Paul
says. “But the pilot loved it!”
