John writes: “I bought Academy’s 1/48 scale F-14B Tomcat to reflect the VF-102 Diamondbacks squadron my father was attached to in the early 1960s aboard the USS Enterprise CVN-65. Although he retired before the F-14 came out, I plan on making a set of aircraft that were aboard during his deployment.” John finished with Testors Model Master paints and artist’s oils, and says he found the decals online.
