1/35 scale U.S. Air Force firetruck - June 2014

Stephen Payne, Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina

Stephen writes: “This is a replica of one of my favorite firetrucks from my time in the Air Force during the 1960s. The model uses the cab and chassis of the M34 2.5-ton tactical truck from the 1/35 scale Revell Jeep and Tactical Truck kit. Everything from the cab back is scratchbuilt from sheet styrene, tube, and brass wire; beacon lights, ladders, fire extinguishers, and a shovel are from the spare-parts box. The truck is painted with Testors enamel sprays; 3M reflective tape provides vehicle stripes and numbers. Door and compartment labels are custom dry transfers provided by Gallery Graphics.”

Or is the 530A. I remember a new one arriving at Da Nang one day and everyone was really excited to get it in service. While eating chow around noon a single B40 came in a made direct hit on our new 530. Now let's see a O11A or O11B.".lol, really nice work I'm tryin to get a AS32-P2 together. Your 530 has built a fire under this old 57150 to get it done thanks.
