Timothy Hubbell, Lima, Ohio

This project was so ambitious that no single picture captures the entire 1/35 scale scene. “I call it ‘Over & Out,’” says Timothy. “It depicts the withdrawal and looting by the Germans retreating from Paris.” A Tamiya Steyr Type 1500A/01 and a Maquette Schlafwagen (rail scout car) are surrounded by a mix of Tamiya and Dragon figures. Timothy built the rail bridge from Styrofoam and Tamiya brick-wall sections. The street pavement comes from Verlinden. Utility poles are made from wood dowels with balsa arms and craft-bead insulators.
