“I have always been interested in World War II models, and this was a challenge that was waiting for me,” Lawrence says. Using a 1/35 scale Trumpeter kit as a guide, he scratchbuilt a 1/18 scale LCM(3) from 1/4" plywood, styrene stock, and brass rod. The figures are made with brass rod, plumber’s putty, and dental resin. Lawrence’s LCM is seaworthy, radio-controlled, and features a working ramp.
