Fred Branyan

Nazereth, Pennsylvania

Combining Iron Shipwright’s 1/350 scale kit with Blue Water Navy’s kit (mainly for photo-etch rails on the main deck), Fred built and superdetailed USS Juneau (CL-52), the Atlanta-class cruiser sunk by Japanese torpedoes in November 1942. Fred is striving to model all the ships that were with the USS Hornet (CV-8) when it was sunk in October 1942, just a few months after it launched the Doolittle raid on Tokyo.
