Tom sent us a shot he took in 1970 of a project that travels far north of his work as historian at the Museum of South Texas in Edinburg. He painted the backdrop for his Aurora 1/144 scale Orion Spaceliner from 2001: A Space Odyssey. “And, yes, I still have the model,” he says.
