Helicopter crew

Putting together a UH-34D.  I'm trying to find a decent pilot and a door gunner (maybe an M-60 setup as well).  Can anyone recommend a vendor?

**EDIT:  I didn't read it close enough, the below is 1/35 scale.  I am assuming yours is 1/48 or 1/72 since there is no 1/32 or 1/35 UH-34D.  Sorry, I can't really help much with them.  EDIT**

This thread list pretty much all your options.

I think the Dragon Vietnam Helo crew would be your best bet.  It comes with both a free M60 and an M60D in an M23 doorgun mount as well.  It has both pilots and doorgunners included.

Best bet is this company

http://www.propaganda-kompany.com/

they have the 1/72 scale helicopter pilots and airborne infantry that you need in both Vietnam era and Modern era.

Have you dealt with them before?  I'm a little concerned.  Their website says "

I have dealt with that company before. Communication is tricky, but their products are good.. And they will get to you. My last order took 6 months and it appeared most of the problem was the French postal service.

CMK makes a resin set of helo crew figures in 1/48 and 1/72. I have used them before and they are pretty good. They are also much easier to come by.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?

I haven't dealt with them yet but if this talk about needing to expand their warehouse again then business must be booming. But I have a few helo's that need crews and it looks like they might be the only game in town.

Hello!

A Czech company called CMK also has a nice 1:72, Vietnam-era helicopter crew. Some grunts to put in the back too (the name says LRRP but in this scale it might as well be marine recon Big Smile). Hope it helps, have a nice day, and good luck with your project

From what I saw of the castings for the Vietnam US Infantry figures Pawel there is a definitely a M60 in there so there definitely is a instant M60 gunner position for the Choctaw that the OP is going to be building.

Thanks for the feedback, guys!  Hedging my bets.  I ordered the CMK LRRP F72076 pack and I'lll modify the pilots to sit.  Also ordered their Characteristic Head, hands and Accessories set.   Then I ordered  the CZ set  F72080 from Squadron & finally went on ebay and bought the ESCI elite forces soldier pack (plastic) with has several good crouching M-60 gunners.

I figure between all of those I can make a door gunner and pilots.

Don't forget to add the monkey belts to keep your gunner from falling out of the chopper and the M60's need bungie straps connecting the M60 to the roof of the cabin. The bungies keep the guns from dissappearing during evasive maneuvers.

none of the gunner pictures of hmm161 showed the cord.  they used the pivot attachment underneath, but no bungee to the cabin roof.  I did see the cord in another squadron picture, I think hmm 262 or 362

I got a 1/72 MH-53 from Italeri. Would any of the above figures work for it? Looking for one that looks like the hologram MH-53 pilot from Transformers: images2.wikia.nocookie.net/.../Movie_MustacheMan.jpg.

Also what spray paint would be the best match for a USAF one?

FS 36173 is the correct colour for overall grey MH-53s.I have seen it called Battle Grey and ADC Grey.  Not sure what brands you prefer for spraying, but should not be hard to find as it is a common USAF colour and should be available in most paint lines. Humbrol (in tins) is #156, Xtracolour (in tins) is X158.
