I meant to do the Whirlybirds chopper. Mash would be the MRC kit alone.

You need the Revell kit,  and the skids and ip from the MRC kit.

Maybe.  It depends on what he means by "used in MASH".  If he means the original M*A*S*H movie, yes, it was a later H model as in the Revell kit.  If he means used by MASH units in the Korean war and in the M*A*S*H TV series, using the earlier D model as in the MRC kit is correct.

Looking good.  It looks good in the bright yellow and the combined parts are seamless.

How common are these kits? I'd like to build one. Is this the same bird used in MASH?

As to the kits, they should be easy to find.

The MRC kit is good for a Korean war H-13D M*A*S*H DustOff.

The Revell kit is a Vietnam era H-13H.

They are both pretty easy to build.  The MRC kit is a little better on details though.

I loved the Whirlybirds TV show as a kid. Several years ago I acquired most of the episodes. Good grief, I watched part of one episode and couldn't take it anymore. Don't know what the heck attracted me to it!

Never saw the Whirlybirds, but excellent work on the model!  Crisp and clean!

I remember watching the show.  Great job with the model!  Outstanding work!

Since the show was b&w, I never realized the chopper was yellow.

Looks good. I love that old Bell. My first ride in a helo was that old 47 Sioux with my dad at the local fair when I was just a tike.

I used both Revell's and MRC's Bell 47 kits to build N975B from the old The Whirlybirds tv series.
