jmoran426Great looking build. It turned out super! I started a build using the same model and opted to kit-bash it into a Bell UH-1F. I'm 80% there, and will try to post it when completed.

I have recently found out that this kit is based on the old Monogram kit from 66. They have retooled and added parts and changed decals over the years.

Very nice. The Revell US kit I have is the same plastic, different decals. The Monogram kit I have is from 1966 and while similar is a different kit.
midnightprowler Looks good. I just acquired the Revell US issue, and a original Monogram kit as well.

Calling it finished , all finished in Alclad paints , new rear prop scratch built , decals added there is not many on the gunship version , and a quick light wash to take the new look away , now need to figure out whats next on the bench with the help of a brandy
unmasked the clear parts , painted and fitted the doors and main prop , just need to fit the ammo belts and the rear prop then ready for decals and weathering , had a slight problem with the rear prop as in its a moulded blob of plastic so had to build a new one out of plastic card just waiting for paint to dry on it :)
Stage_Left Looking good so far, Fred. I dig this old mold; built it once as a kid and again several years ago, both times with kits under the Monogram label. Looking forward to more Dave

Started to get some colour on her today , Pre Shaded with Alclad Matt Black then Covered in a light coat of Alclad Vietnam Dark Green and Post Shaded with Alclad Medium Green
Going to do it the Vietnam Gunship version , got some windows fitted and started to mask them , got nose , weapons and other bits fitted and primed with Grey Alclad Microfiller / Primer
managed to get the two halfs together with a little trim here and there , few seams to sand and a small fill underneath so not to bad overall , dry fitted the roof bit and seams to fit well just need to do detail work and the glass before i fit it overall happy chap so far
done the engine , de-seamed it then Alclad Microfiller/ Primer , Alclad Black Base Gloss then the Alclad metal finishes
all painted in Alclad Mil-Spec paint and harness buckles are Alclad Steel
