I order from Great Models all the time. They're definitely the way to go, and I like their 'check your order status' feature on their website.

salbando, I got a letter from Roll Models about 3 weeks after I ordered saying that they couldn't fill the order, so I went with Squadron. Well, it seems like I messed up my credit info and they had problems with the transfer of funds, but they emailed my home and my wife corrected my blunder, and so I should have my Killer Egg by the end of next week! Now I just wish I had ordered two...

I'll have to give Great Models a shot in the future and see how well they work out for me.

Well, I ordered two from Rolls Models 24 days ago. Haven't seen a thing from them, except for a catalog. Went ahead and order two (plus some other stuff) from Great Models. That entire order showed up on my doorstep 3 days later. And I live in Alaska!
Once again Great Models comes through with shining colors, and the shipping was a steal, considering we usually get screwed up here in the Arctic.

Nah, I tried Roll Models, and it fell through, and others have gotten theirs from Squadron, so I'll hold out for this one to be delivered. I should have doubled the order when I placed it, but I couldn't really justify adding two more kits to the pile at this time. Not with some of those new halftracks coming out.

I'll keep the faith and hope there's a box waiting for me when I get home, it helps to pass the time at least.

Still waiting on mine to show from Squadron. I think someone's playing with my sanity, but I refuse to give up! I will have my Little Bird!

Well, if Squadron is delivering, then mine should be on its way shortly as well. I'll hopefully have something waiting for me when I get back from taking the wife on a cruise for our 10 year anni.

Keep the Killer Egg sitings coming in...soon we'll have a whole fleet of them on this site.

I just checked the Dragon website and they listed the AH-6J as one of their new releases... I have no idea if the list is updated though...

http://www.dragon-models.com/html/modelnews.html

It's near the bottom of the page under the '1/35 MODERN AFV SERIES' heading.

Well, I'm taking the day off now to sit by my mailbox and dare the mailman not to deliver mine! Good on you, Trigger74! At least I know that they exist and are being delivered.

Edited: Well, I got home today and instead of a Killer Egg, I had a letter from Roll Models saying they couldn't fill my order and they were sorry. Nice. Good thing I went to Squadron and ordered one from them. If this one doesn't make it, I don't know what I'll do.

Hey, Trigger, who did you order your's from again?

Thanks guys! Heh, they kicked it out the door so fast, instead of the DML MP5 set I ordered, they pulled the AK-47 set. I haven't heard back from Squadron yet on that "precious" - maybe this week.

Grant,
Now why in the world would you think that would make anyone here angry? Good on ya buddy! Glad to see she arrived Alpha-1. Besides, The way I see it this confirms that the re-release is official and the warehouses are getting stocked.

Don't hate me. Today I was the windshield. I don't mean to taunt or mock anyone with this and I'm probably going to sound like a jerk for this so here's my preemptive apology. Call it a "judgement malfunction," but I can't help myself right now after a long day at work. Call me all the disparaging names you want, I probably deserve it.

If you've had a bad day or are in a foul mood, don't scroll down. Go to a different topic right now...

First, Rutan wins the X-Prize (I'll bet there are some insurance company suits on the street today after having to shell out $10M - "We really didn't expect anyone to win!") Then, we got "boomed" by another F/A-22 today (the fourth since friday), and I just got home from work and there it was, right on my doorstep!

I got lucky today and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone here, that they get their Killer Eggs pronto.

It appears the race is on! Though it doesn't really matter, as long as the ones I order show up on my doorstep, I'll be plenty happy.

Hey, Sal.
Last I heard, Chief Owl was supposedly in the process of relocating to the states. That was about a month or so ago. Not a word since.
Don't know anymore than that. I know the website hasn't been updated since 11/17/03!!
I hate to sound pesimistic but, I have given up any hopes at all. I hope I am wrong. But, he could at least put SOMETHING in his news column at the site. Any news would be better than no news.

Well, I went ahead and added two to my order from Rolls models. Figured I was already getting a couple OV-10 update sets from Missing Link and figured that since they're putting the screws to me for shipping (one of the bad things about living in Alaska) then I might as well take a shot on the killer eggs.

Keep your fingers crossed boys.

But this really does bring up a common point brought up in all the modelling threads I've read (especially helicopters. Namely that if we can have our choice of 40 damn Apache models, then why can't we have a single HH-3F/E or a current high grade UH-1H, or what about a single 1/48 CH-47 (along with 1/35). Don't the manufacturers listen to what the market is demanding? Just makes me shake my head sometimes. I know things are getting better with the CH-46 release, but it's definitely about time.

What's the latest from Chief Owl? Haven't heard anything about their schedule of releases in a Looonnnggg time.

I don't want to get too excited, but my found out from Great Models that my Little Bird is supposedly in transit here. I haven't heard from Squadron yet.

Ha-Ha, looks like we'll be putting a dent in the stocks of a lot of companies with this one. The warehouse managers will be scratching their heads, wondering "We just had a pallet of those AH-6Js, where did they all go?"

Better to be in our hands than their warehouses, that's what I think.

I just hope there is one left at the end of next week when the old cash flow is back on.

Fingers crossed..

Alright, I ordered another one of these elusive birds thru Squadron, so now we'll see which company can deliver the goods first. I was going to email Roll Models, but it seems that you can't anymore, and I don't think I'll have a chance to call from the office, so we'll just leave that order hanging in limbo for a while and see if it ever appears. So now I've got about 3 different orders out there that I'm waiting on.

The hunt continues...
