Here are all the sprues. They look great. It also looks like the A and D parts are both in the kit. Some great stuff.

Here are a few:

Well, I guess I'll have to wait and see how accurate this kit is.
But from looking at the sprues it looks like someone has done their homework. Different engines, Rotor Blades and Aft Pylons, I didn't see if they got the aft landing gear right though.

Hey, Johnny, long time no talk to. How's it hanging down there in the strike zone?

I agree, its hard to tell from those sprue shots whether they got the aft landing gear right or not. Looks like they got the A/B/early-C model FOD screens (L-7s?) correct, as well as the Super-C/D/E model FOD screens. I wonder how they expect to model the FOD screen material itself? Etched brass? (ooohhh..) The FOD screen housings look awfully goofy without the screens themselves.

I didn't see lead-lag dampers, the forward landing gear legs, the forward landing gear axles, an A/B/C-style hook beam or a couple other things in there I would have expected, either, so perhaps there are some sprues missing from these test shots?

YES!!!!! YES!!!!! YES!!!! Just the info I've been waiting for all these months!!!!!!!!!
The sprue lay outs!!! WOW !!!!! It looks great !!!!! I want one right now!!!!! At least two!!
So I can do one as the A and one as the D!!!! OH heck!!!! Four so I can do a B and C also!!! I sure hope that there will be some parts released to make it into a MH-47E SOA Bird soon after this monster hits the store shelves!!!!! Guys,You are SO RIGHT about me uping the doseage of my meds because I'm drooling all over my computer desk!!! I just might need restrants to keep me culm untill December!!!Tongue [:P] I'm almost 99.9% sure that the FOD screens will be of photo eche brass part and the gear will be made of white metal. Looking at the wheel parts, they come in four parts, hub left half, hub right half ,center incert and rubber tire wich looks to me that the wheels should roll when completed. I'm so happy to see that they got the rotor blades right. The smaller ones for the early models and the big ones for the newer ones. I plan on at some point doing one as a RAF Chinook HC-1in the early three tone paint sceam of DK Green, Sea Gray With Black underside. The equipment the Brits use on there Hooks are differant but with some research and scratch building it shouldn't be that hard. If you guys fill like I do right now than Your Chinook fever is riseing fast!!!
I won't need a night light as I sleep tonight because my grin is gonna keep my bedroom lit up well as i sleep tonight!!!Big Smile [:D]

Later guys!!

Hey Gang!!!
Theres something that has been eating at me about this GREAT kit!!!!
The test shots definatly show trees with parts to make the A and D model HOOKs.
The idea that all the parts will be in one kit would be nice but I don't think so. Why??
Hear me out here Guys!!! First, Trumpeter has made box art for both models, and second, they have given them both an item# CH-47A #05104 and the Ch-47D #05105. If you know the differances of the A and D models you can clearly see that the A and D models have trees devoted to each CH-47. It would be nice indeed to see them all in one box but sence they have there own item# and box art, I'm betting that there will be two seperate kits. They will most likly release at the same time and sence you would need to buy several kits anyway to do each model , It doesn't seem to make that much differance anyway.
I just thought i would share this thought with you guys.
What do you guys think???

Mark has a good point......

Just today I was at the Hobby shop and The asst manager ( who does the ordering and who knows Trumpeter kits well ) said that the chances of the kit having both A and D parts in one box is unlikely.

I wonder.

Hey Mark, and all...

I'm keeping my eyes peeled on this development... already starting to "test-fit" in my mind, and calculate! Wink [;)] As Col. Hesslar said in the great movie: "Battle of the Bulge"; "Very little has escaped my attention!" Big Smile [:D] Wink [;)]

Work has been consuming me of late, as well as a brother who decided to contest my Mother's Will.... keeps my attention focused elsewhere, but I make my rounds through here every day that I can. Smile [:)]

Take care fellows and tanks for all these fantastic updates!!

Thought you all would like another one of my "concept" depictions...

Darren;

Things here are fine, Katrina missed us on the east and Rita (or the worst part of it) missed us to the west. No problems at the house.

But at work we are busier than two one legged men in a butt kickin contest tryin to get people out to the offshore rigs. One of our bases in the vicinity of Cameron LA was totally ruined and another closer to here was flooded, and the hangar we were using at Lake Charles was completely destroyed by a tornado. Our base at Venice is totally unusable and we probably wont open it back up.

As far as the kit goes, I noticed that if you look at the clear sprues on the test shot, they have a piece that looks like it would fit in the cut out on the forward edge of the "D" aft pylon, also it looks like if you want to to a "C" model, you'll have to cover up the cooling vents on top of the Fwd pylon as well as those on the aft end of the aft pylon, and if you want to do a "D" it looks as if you will have to cut out cooling vents on the forward work platforms on the fwd pylons.

Others have mentioned , and it makes sense, that this will probably be released as two seperate kits. But Squadron is showing it on their "presell" page as an aircraft used in Viet Nam (CH-47A I would imagine) and a aircraft used in Desert Storm (CH-47D) because as you know, the 101st got all their D models long before we started getting ours in mid-late 1988 (213th Avn Co .... A/1/501st Avn). But who knows for sure? Just have to wait and see.
