Well, I guess I'll have to wait and see how accurate this kit is.
But from looking at the sprues it looks like someone has done their homework. Different engines, Rotor Blades and Aft Pylons, I didn't see if they got the aft landing gear right though.

Hey, Johnny, long time no talk to. How's it hanging down there in the strike zone?
I agree, its hard to tell from those sprue shots whether they got the aft landing gear right or not. Looks like they got the A/B/early-C model FOD screens (L-7s?) correct, as well as the Super-C/D/E model FOD screens. I wonder how they expect to model the FOD screen material itself? Etched brass? (ooohhh..) The FOD screen housings look awfully goofy without the screens themselves.
I didn't see lead-lag dampers, the forward landing gear legs, the forward landing gear axles, an A/B/C-style hook beam or a couple other things in there I would have expected, either, so perhaps there are some sprues missing from these test shots?

Darren;
Things here are fine, Katrina missed us on the east and Rita (or the worst part of it) missed us to the west. No problems at the house.
But at work we are busier than two one legged men in a butt kickin contest tryin to get people out to the offshore rigs. One of our bases in the vicinity of Cameron LA was totally ruined and another closer to here was flooded, and the hangar we were using at Lake Charles was completely destroyed by a tornado. Our base at Venice is totally unusable and we probably wont open it back up.
As far as the kit goes, I noticed that if you look at the clear sprues on the test shot, they have a piece that looks like it would fit in the cut out on the forward edge of the "D" aft pylon, also it looks like if you want to to a "C" model, you'll have to cover up the cooling vents on top of the Fwd pylon as well as those on the aft end of the aft pylon, and if you want to do a "D" it looks as if you will have to cut out cooling vents on the forward work platforms on the fwd pylons.
Others have mentioned , and it makes sense, that this will probably be released as two seperate kits. But Squadron is showing it on their "presell" page as an aircraft used in Viet Nam (CH-47A I would imagine) and a aircraft used in Desert Storm (CH-47D) because as you know, the 101st got all their D models long before we started getting ours in mid-late 1988 (213th Avn Co .... A/1/501st Avn). But who knows for sure? Just have to wait and see.
