Old news?.....well....yeah.

NEW PICS?.....HECK YES!!! That is awesome!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!

Looks like they did it the same way MRC handled the interior on the 1/48 Bull Phrog....seperate side walls....very cool! and the cargo floor looks very busy!

I can't wait!

WAIT A TIC! They are calling this HOOK a A what about the edge of the aft pylon?....it looks like a D to me! .....or I could be wrong?

Wow. I mean, just.. wow...

Brilliant move making the entire aft section as they did. That's approximately where the field splice is on the real aircraft, anyway.

However, we get a Delta-model style pylon
http://www.ipmsphilippines.com/reviews/trumpchin/Chinooktail2.JPG

And an A-model style pylon
http://www.ipmsphilippines.com/reviews/trumpchin/Chinooktail1.JPG

(differences are: A-model pylon is "finned" at the aft end. The Delta-model is "flat" [blunt, cut off, whatever]. The A-model has a smooth leading edge of the pylon, while the Delta has a cutout in the leading edge of the aft pylon for the Combining Transmission cooler assembly)

(there are a whole raft of other differences between a D-model & an A-model, but externally these are two of the biggest)

My beef is: I want to build a C-model. The Chuck had a flat aft-end and no leading edge cutout. IOW, it combines both pylons!

So either I wait for an aftermarket pylon, or I have to bash the pylon a little.

Probably going to bash the pylon. Filling in the leading edge of the D-model pylon seems like it will be the simplest solution.

Oh, wow, I just noticed that the FRBs look pre-drooped, too! Wooo hoo!

(good news for the static one I want to build, not so good for the "inflight" one..)

Simple fix... just put them in hot water then plce them on a flat surface, or if ya want the "cone" effect bend them the other way ebfore they cool completely.
