help with 1/48 m-60 ammo belts

Cobra Company has vinyl 7.62mm ammo belts in their 1/48 MH-60L conversion set.  Contact Chris there, he will sell individual pieces from his sets.

I have pictures of Vietnam slicks with both the ammo chute set-up (with a bag to catch spent shells) as well as the exposed ammo belt (no chute covering the belt and no catch bag) .......so at this point I'm looking for either.

I contacted Chris but he did not have any excess belts.

rescuehawk - my computer is as slow as molasses in January.  The Eduard catalog is big.  Could you give me any more info on the Eduard product?

You could try useing styrene strips,from Plastruct.When you cut to lenght,add some extra,if you have to put some "bends" in the strip,you can hold them over a candle and mold to shape.Don't get carried away,do a little at a time.To make the ripples in the strip,use a heated X-knife,or use a pattren tracer.One of those sewing things that has a wheel with groves on it.Just be sure to clean it up before giving it back to your wife! Hope this works for you.

Most all of our "slicks" in "71" had a large "mini gun" ammo can between the gunners feet and no "chutes".  174th AHC at Chu Lai.  www.174ahc.org.
