Hi Everyone
An update on the Anigrand kit, if you are unfamiliar with resin low production kits, this one is about typical. I found a few easy to fill pinholes here and there, and some areas needed some cleanup along parting lines, such as the forward engine "trunk" where the forward firewall is, that neds some more cleanup. Other than the landing gear and engine, cleanup of mold parting lines went smoothly. The egine has a big nasty ring halfway around the circumference that has to be hacked and ground away and this was by far the nastiest bit of cleanup. Perhaps ten minutes with my dremel and a small drill bit, Zona razor saw and sanding boards.
I am pinning the fues halves together to get as close to alignment as I can. Using cut down straigh pins installed in one half, I determine where the other half needs to be to bring it into proper alignment.
if anyone has photos of the interior arrangment, I would love some assist with that, the way Anigrand has it layed out is with the sonar operators seats down the centerline. Does this sound or look correct to anyone?
Ill get some pics this weekend.
David
