UH-1C "SEXY SNAKE" DIORAMA
Hey guys.As some of you know I have been working on the MRC/Academy UH-1C, trying to build it into a reasonable replica of a ship from the 114th AHC, "Sexy Snake".As I near having the cabin area completed,I decided I want to show the ship sitting in its revetment either after coming back from a mission,or getting ready to go out on a mission.I was gonna build up the engine and compartment similar to the way Andy did on his Mustang 6 build, but if depicted as I would like, the engine compartment wouldn't be open.I have some sections from an old Verlinden premade diorama base. These are some sections with a row of 55 gal oil barrels with a ton of sandbags on top and a section of a steel revetment section filled with earth that I handmade myself. The ship will be sitting on a section of perforated steel planking(PSP)with the revetment itself being in a L shape with the oil barrels and sandbags being on one side of the L and the other part of the L being the steel earth filled wall.I am open to any and all suggestions and ideas, but my main question before I go too much further with this idea, is does this setting sound like a realistic situation and if the aircraft were going to re-arm to go out again ,would it be sitting in a revetment like the one I described?I should add that the sandbag and oil barrel section has a little sand bagged room at he end of it that I am gonna use as the storage area for the rockets and ammo to re arm with.Does all this sound correct? Thanks,Chris
