Fabulous work! I love the concept of a "call of nature series" - can't get much more lateral than that!

As someone else said, the look on the soldier's face is perfect!

The glee on the dog's face is pretty good too - he's looking forward to marking his territory!

The cobblestone street looks a touch to "clean" to my eye, but please don't take this as criticism because I come from a country where there are no cobblestone streets, so I'm not familiar with the appearance.

I like your sparse use of the scattered leaves. As they say: "less is more".

 Hello,

LMAO. This is great. panzerguy, the "Call of Nature" theme is a great idea, and "On Target" is an equally great title. A very easy to read story line. Direct and to the point. Like the tips thrown in with the excellent pics. Be waiting for the next installment of the "Royal Flush".LOL

BTW,The figure is top notch. Thanks for posting.

 Best Regards,

Excellent little vignette! Every aspect is so well done, great job on the groundwork. Figure and doog are incredible. Maybe a little future would put a gleam in Max's eye Wink [;)]

Looking forward to the 3rd "deposit" into your series, Guy.

Any dio with a doog in it already has my Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]'s! LOL!

I love it! The mere fact of a "series" of "Call of Nature" scenes cracks me up!

The base looks great--nice work on the build of it and the painting! Everything else fits nicely, and the hydrant is perfect for that period and place!

Well done!!!!

Okay maybe not what you expected when you read the title but to Max that hydrant is definitely a target!

This is my second vignette in what will be my "Call of Nature"  series. I've got one more planned out but I'm trying to come up with a fourth.

The BA20 is from Alan. Some of you might have seen my post of the finished build over in the armor section.

The street and side walk are scratch built using  plaster of paris that was poured onto a peice of glass so that that the bottom would be perfectly flat when dry. After it had dried I used a compass to to scribe a circle then snapped off the excess and sanded the edges. The stone work was carved using my trusty old dental picks. Painting and weathing was done using acrylics and pastels.

The fire hydrant is made from scratch using of all things an old Tiger tank barrle from the parts box. The end cap nuts are grantline and the chains are PE.

The Finnish tropper is a combo of Tristar and Dragon parts with a Verlinden head. I had to rework the uniform a little to get it to look right. First by replaceing the buttons with streched sprue that was mushroomed. I made  about thirty of them and from those I picked the best looking ones. The collar, epaulets and collar tabs were shaved off and new one's made using thin plastic strip. The hat was an M43 that had the brim shortened and the peak built up with some green putty.

Max is from the Tamiya livestock set.

For my third one I plan on breaking down and picking up the Masterbox BMW.

Well I hope you like it and as always all comments and questions are welcomeBig Smile [:D]
