G'day folks,
Just posted some photos of my first dio on rons site ( see link below ).
I used a Tamiya tank, Dragon crew, Tamiya soldiers and some academy afv accessories. It's hard to say just how long it took to build, because I am travelling a bit I tended to do a bit here and there. the tank and crew were finished about two years ago! The rest of it, plus the weathering on the tank, were completed early this year.
I am going to improve on the grass at some stage, and add some patches of snow ( some friends mentioned that the soldiers looked out of place in winter gear. I explained that it is toward the end of winter, it's still cold but the snow has melted away, and the crew don't need to rug up cooped up inside a tank most of the time.......... obviously! ).
I also need practice on the airbrush. The tank camo was done with mums ceramics airbrush, I don't have my own because I move around a bit. The next dio is all hand painted!
Anyhow, I'm eager to see what you all think, and hear any tips you may have to help improve my next dio.
