LOL! Laugh [(-D]  At least we won't see the boots being curled like in the scene from the Wizard of Oz when the Wicked Witch of East was killed after the house landed on her!

Your diorama keeps to look better and better everytime you post updates!  Thumbs Up [tup]  Looking forward to see it completed.  Just a suggestion... use the heat to flatten the boots laying on the ground at its top... we don't see them laying that round unless they are ski boots.  Hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Keep 'em coming... I saw few great pictures of SS Div Handschar in a book recently and it reminded me of your work.

HEHEE,made me Smile [:)]Big Smile [:D]      I for one would want a more(useful, intimidating, protective, less goofy) head covering when going into battle, or just leaving the house.

The figures looked great once they hit the groundwork(nice realistic looking groundwork) I like the feel and  mood in the dio.

Thanks for comments , well black flag will stay on this dio but not on top of haystack.. I will put it on frame of a diorama ... like some sort of title.. position on top of haystack is strategicaly wrong because it could be used to direct fire from oposite side.. hope you can inderstand what I mean..

sorry for my bad english..

cheers

I completely agree with you about the black flag--I don't think any division--SS or otherwise--would call out their location in such a way.

As far as it being controversial or political, I don't see it that way. It's History.

Well, the black flag is just as contraversial as puting the swastika or the SS decals. It has been discussed here somewhere, you know, historical accuracy vs. political correctnes vs good/bad taste etc.

Lets just say the echoes of their actions linger thru to this day in that part of the world.... very long memories there. Very nice work though, your smocks look espcially good, as does your groundwork. That is what it looks like there.

I don;t think I'd use the big black flag, Other than that i Love this dio. The figs are outstanding, the groundwork and composition are great. And an unusual subject, too! Good job!

Thanx for comments folks...

figures are not fixed yet to the ground so they may look as floating over it... there is some work and corrections to be done on figures and maybe on the ground , thinking to put some more grass clumps outside od fence...

About 13th Handschar Division, history of that division is well known to me with all controversy connected to them. I choose to make this little dio because I thought they are interesting and somehow unusual with their Fez hats which are not often seen.. no political  or racial background for which I was kind of accused on one other forum..

Cheers

I like this.

So far, my only suggestion would be to sink the figures into the groundwork, to give the impression of weight. They kinda appear to be floating a little. A few dabs of diluted white glue could soften the turf where the figs are to be placed, and then the figs could be pressed into the ground a bit.

That groundwork is fantastic, btw.

Very cool! YOu seldo see a dio with only figures--in that respect, your dio is noteworthy. NIce groundwork too!

The Handschar division is noteworthy for having one of the--if not THE--worst records of atrocities and War Crimes of all SS divisions. They were also the only division to mutiny.

I love it...reminds me of home Whistling [:-^]. By the way, "Handschar" is spelled "Handzar" with a little "V" like thingy above the letter "z". It means sword in Turkish, or at least it is an adopted word from Turksih language in Bosnia.

Cheers...

Looking very good! Very, very good!

I've always been fascinated by the SS, and these fez caps do look fun when you suddenly see one after browsing trough tons of photos!

Love the camo, love the skintones, love the trousers!

But I must say, a little bit too much blue in the eye?
