i can help with the leaves, i do them with two pieces of brown paper bag put a piece of wire between the pieces glue the pieces together cut the shape you want and just fringe the edges with scissors

yes the palm leaves are made with paper and wire , have a look on pictue two nad three.

I´live in "Siegen" may be 100 KM on the riht side from "Köln"
