good to hear about the baby. i trust everything is going well with that. it's a scary time and just wait until your sitting in the doctors office and you know your about to be a dad at any moment...really scary buddy. but, your older than i was and im sure you can handle it well. as far as projects, a baby sleeps and %$#^& for like the fist 4 or 5 months (more or less) and therefore you should have a little time in between all that!!

hey no problem on the figs. i like my results, even if some dont, and if i can help or encourage someone then that's what im all about because learning is a never ending process and only the ignorant wouldnt learn from anyone/anything they possibly could. any help ya need let me know buddy, but as i said you got it and your figures from your dio looked great so i dont think you need my references. Bro,  umm,... enough said--okay?  Apology accepted & offered back to you. Sorry. Sorry too to hear about the stuff your dealing with we may not have known about, or we're trying to be your distraction from. Sometimes it's good to get away right? especially when we start butting-heads. I wish only the best to you buddy, and to those you love...........Indy

indy...dont you see, i have no problem if we disagree on things. i have issue with some of your wording that makes me out to look "uninformed"!! that other thread was totally misunderstood whether it was you or i. i posted in my first post that it is up to the person to prime and wash. i stated emfatically that i dont. i dont feel my figures are any less for ware because of it. they tell you and tell you it should be done. i know there are agents etc. on these figures...i've been doing this, researching this, reading the books for almost 20 years. im not some nub off the street. i dont care what book says what, priming isnt a necessity in order to achieve good results. basic isnt basic its been shoved down our throat in order for you to believe it's a necessity. THAT was my point!!! yeah, i read all the books and heard all the b.s. about how you should do it, but like everything there has to be someone who says..."no you dont" and i must be that guy since no one else wants to or is willing.

now im sorry for some of my comments as i woke up on the wrong side of the bed to begin with and that isnt your fault, but your words whether directly or indirectly made me out to look foolish and reckless which is hardly the case. my points and information i give to other people is equally valid as anyone's and shouldnt have to defend myself to "opinion's"!! im tired of this though as its always the same argument. if you want to forget all of this i am more than willing as it's just stupid and meaningless nothing that should mean just that...nothing!!! i've always respected your work indy as well as your comments and i still to this moment dont know how we got here when i was offering my opinion on stuff and you yours. like i said, i woke up on the wrong side of the bed to begin with, my wife has lung cancer and its a long story...didnt mean to take it out on you, you just happened into one of my pet peaves and that's the idea that you "have to" wash and prime figures if you ever hope to become an accomplished modeler. whatever though, im taking a break from all of this for a good week or so by going out to the country to spend some time alone and ponder life. sorry indy, and sorry to everyone else... Sad [:(]

Man ! You don't have to get all crazy ( I wasn't going for that - more just thoughtful ) None of what I said was "childish crap" - that's a direct insult.   Also the confusous quote wasn't rediculous. ( admit you mis-iterpeted my original positive post--I thought that was a little funny) If you don't want to think- well sorry. Just admit you are P.O.'d -that I  disagreed with you on the unknown person's post regarding primer. You told him need for primer is a myth and you dont have to wash reisn parts either (I didn't even go into how resin castings are covered with mould-release agents and one day you will have a problem because of it) Well, of course you have every right to offer such opinions ~ I do to quote solid reasons I don't agree. Any time someone here is giving less-than-great advice someone always turns up to set the record straight. Im sure sometime soon you'l try to show up and correct me( just try and do it out of regard for the persons' question, not out of bitterness towards those that don't agree with you, or some need you have to have all the awnsers) And CJ, no doubt you don't model for me.        One more thing, I never met(any kind of) surgeon that said his job is easy

  Stay cool........................Indy

ya know indy, i was really going to go in a different direction with this but im so tired of fighting with people in here. this shouldnt be that hard as its supposed to show off models and teach people. and for some reason it seems to turn into this kind of stuff all the time. you threw that rediculous confusous statement out there not me...and i didnt call myself a master nor did i think you called me as such. btw, a brain surgeon can call what he does easy and still be damn good at his job!!! and whether you or anyone else in this whole freakin forum thinks or cares or doesnt care or what the hell ever, about my stuff or how good it is or how good it should be or how good it isnt means absolutely NOTHING to me as i do not model for you sir, nor do i model for anyone in here nor do i model for shows or for awards...i model for me and personally (and i DO throw this out haphazardly) i think im damn good at what i do!!!!! dont respond to my threads indy if this is the kind of response im going to get from you because i deserve better.

I think its b/c there are only a select few out there that build what we do. At least in my view, on our threads, there seems to be the same people posting here and there ....

I suppose most people don't crit or comment b/c the subject just doesn't interest them. I'm even guilty of seeing a threads title and just not checking in on it .... Such is life I guess. for German material, for example, I find that I can only comment on painting of figures' flesh b/c I don't know beans from bullets about German armor, uniform colors, weapons, etc.

You do great work, Camo ... even if you insist on using oils! HAHA!!! .... and sure ... some people are better than others, but thats all a matter of opinion. I think that everyone is a MASTER IN THEIR OWN RIGHT. You've always been happy w/ your own stuff, right, Camo!?! ... Well then ... as you ALWAYS tell me .... thats whats most important.

Again ... Nice job on this one. While everyone can always improve from thier builds ... I think that you did this one justice. I give it an A- .... just b/c you use oils! HAHAHAHAH!!!!! (j/k)

Looks good 'ole Buddy ! That's your bouncin baby mercenary. They don't all have to be a year-long struggle(just some of them) That scale water bottle is really convincing(nice addition to a thirsty-looking scene) One more thing ~ Confusous say " a Master is one who makes it look easy, but never claims it is easy "

Anyway Peace bro ( or War - whatever you're into!)

~ ~LOL!!  Read it again ~ The only compliment there is "Looks good"    at the end it says-you are NO Master if you go saying it's easy.       I look up to the Masters, even with my accomplishments, I know they deserve thier rare status, and don't make the mistake of handing it out haphazardly.

indy: thank you sir, but im sure your not calling me a master...that i am not!! but i'll accept your compliments. Big Smile [:D] and your right, they all dont have to be a year long.

chris: thanks glad you like your picture ocme to life!! Big Smile [:D] again, thanks for all of that!!! the logo, is i believe a "s" and "l" thinking its for st. louis...though not sure!

scott: the water bottle is left over from my tamiya m1a2, there are two of them with the kit. thought about maybe putting it in his hand but wasnt sure. ummm, glued my wall down, mixed and layed down a thin layer of celluclay, brushed on white glue, put my bricks and rocks in. when dry, i brushed on more white glue and sprinkled real sand on it. blew off the excess. then using rr scenic tall grass, pulled some out of the bag, mixed it with some darker color, cut to my desired length, then white glued in place. that's it...pretty simple!!! least i think! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] thanks for liking it!

Nicely done, Camo ... Nicely done. Couple of questions ....

1) where'd you get the water bottle?

2) I really like your groundwork ... you mind explaining how you worked the grass and rocks in?

But, other than that .... no complaints here! Excellent job!!!!
