~Yo Bob `~ what's going on here? You made the base too small for the big 'ole panzer ya got? Well, save that base it's looking good(gotta come in handy for something. Look at like practice. make the "real" base even awsomer! Oh and the figure is very good. You got the face-that's the hard part. i agree the greatcoat looks great too. The tunic could use a bit more definition and for the leathers- I use a dark-redbrown base with some black(or near black {thinned}over it. Depending on what paints your using, a tiny bit of drybrushing with some dark brown on the edges of that black leather might give it a little worn look too. remember ,those belts we're issued medium brown and dyed black for the field. A little wear through everyday use and the brown starts showing through. Here's a much lighter version on this Rusky's mag pouch
See how light I went at first (Tamiya basecoat)
Then a thinned(wash pretty much) of (near)black Floquil. If I'd applied a little darker treatment here, it's about what your looking for(although I mighta started with a not-such-a-red brown underneath.
Good luck, keep us posted !..............indy
