I'm sure someone will rip you for the choice of material matter but it wont be me.  Good work is good work, regardless of the subject matter, nice job.

No one's going to fault someone for their subject matter unless the subject is obscene or otherwise in poor taste.

However, if there are any flaws in the workmanship.  People will point it out!

Here is the visual definition of "Tipping Point.' old Addi is about ot fall flat on his schnozola. The painting is better here, with smoother shadow transitions tahn in the other figures in this thread.

Now, for his next magic trick, Chris Angel will make tow DAK guys walk right out of a wall.

Also, note the muzzle of the MP 40 appears to ahve been broken and reatached crockedly. The MP 40 magazine pouches are hanging precariously by one corner.

Shading on these two guys is virtually unblended. Each has a circular patch on his right shoulder that looks like it should have some kind of design, The binoculars blend in way too much with the tunic. Even if they were the same color in real life, a decent painter would not paint them the exact same shade on a model, rendering them almost invisible.

Despite that, the faces on the DAK guys aren't bad.

The magnifying glass may make for an interesting self portrait, but any decent digital camera has a macro and even a super-macro that will alow for close ups without distortion and annoying refections.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

I think they look great, but I agree that old Adolf looks a little like he's had too much Schnaps!

Some great painting on the figures!

I don't have any issues with someone doing ol' Adoph.. It's not like he can't be modeled... Personally, I'm working on a 148 version of him meeting with Dicke Hermann for a Ju-52 diorama...  It's depicting the time Hitler's plane was in Paris and blew a tire... french workers were allowed to repair it, amazingly.. Although, the SS bodyguards were close by of course, and Hitler's pilot, Hans Baur is also being done for it...

Maybe they were sitting on the wall and then jumped off and started walking.

I agree with you on the other problems though.

the magnifying glass is quite annoying

I like the "5 o'clock shadows" on the first two and I like HG's belt. I imagine Adolf  on his way to doing a Castro faceplant.

MM Great stuff kudo's to your artists on this one. While I do agree with the macro usage complaint sometimes it can play hell with lighting so I understand the magnifying glass.

Kiweed, ditto on you post mate. FSM Forums are funny place once day you can have people applauding the crappiest job and next they are picking faults in above average work. Just depends on the day.

Great figures with some easily corrected  issues to take them to the next level.

Konigwolf you aint wrong there mate , i know a lot of people with issues with this forum, I post here very occasionally now but i do belong to a couple of other forums and they are a lot more respectable with how they post on mistakes.Smile
