It's really a very good first, Todd. Very good stuff. I'm impressed! To improve it a little, get yourself a bit of Burnt Sienna (artist's oil paint in tube, from your local craft/art store), mix it with a bit of thinner to get a fairly liquid and thin 'wash', and apply it over the 'skin' of your figures. The wash will collect into the recessed and creases and will give depth to your skin. You can also use a bit of the same wash, maybe mixed with a bit of black, to dirty up the 'deck' of the tank, where the troops have been standing/sitting/laying. Those guys did not clean up their boots when getting on.
