Black light, incandescent light: shadowbox question.
Posted by djrost_2000 on Thursday, March 25, 2004 8:58 PM
I'm dreaming up a shadowbox, and thought it would be nice to have black light to make certain areas painted with flourescent paints to glow. But would also like to have a small incandescent light to light up the inside.
Does anyone know if the incandescent light will cancel out the effects of the black light? i.e. can you make the areas painted with flourescent paints glow via black light and still have a small incandescent light shining without completely ruining the effect?

Thanks,

Pretty much a moot point to have black light and incadescent light together. The incadescent would was out the black light and the glow effect you are going for would not show.

HeavyArty,

What if I used a bright flourescent light? Would I get a glow effect that way?

Florescent light doesn't make paint glow. Don't think it will work, sorry.
