Again thankyou very much for all the comments,just a couple of things to help you should any of you like to give this a shot,building ruins are small pieces of pink foam,
figures and tank are from Tamiya,groundcover consists of various brick colours of brocken up plantpots and plaster sheets,real dirt and wood bits. To get the dark gothic
charred ruin look a heavy black wash was used,drybrushed with white to bring back the frozen look and white sand added for snow. The mud on the tank is made from brown paint,white glue and dried tea grounds.
