Hi all,
a few days ago I made my first try at modelling water in a dio using clear casting resin tinted with paint. I got the following weird problem which forced me to remove the resin completely
(fortunately the rest of the dio was not damaged in the process):
the base of the dio was an MDF board coated with a mix of Polyfilla and sand, painted with acrylics.
A few hours after pouring the first layer of resin, some kind of silvering appeared under the resin which gradually extended to most of the base. When I removed the resin I noticed the
resin layer had warped and the silvering was simply due to the resin separating from the base.
What can I do to avoid this problem?
many thanks in advance for any help,
Christian.
