WWII civilian car for Berlin dio

ive seen a photo of a Beetle in Berlin with bullet holes all over it
Italeri make a Beetle you could convert to a civy version

Eric-there's also a Citroen Staff/civilian car in 1/35-by ICM or Maquette-Tamiya makes a 1/48 but may do a 1/35 version. These cars were ubiquitous (sp?) in WWII.

The ususal Mercedes cars of the late thirties are the obvious choice but there were also a lot of car makers who exported to Germany in the boom times of the lte twenties and early thirties as well and some cars would still be about in the battle for Berlin.
Citroen, Opel, Peugeot as well as the less abvoius Horsch , Maybach etc.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Last night, while at dinner with the neighbors, my diorama came up in conversation. This Swiss couple are German born and were toddlers during WWII. It was interesting hearing their stories and being toddlers, their memories of that time was mostly of the air raids and that it was more of an 'adventure' and not as terrifying as you would imagine.

Anyway, they both agreed that a Diamler automobile would probably be a good choice. Now which kit manufacturer makes this and where would I find one??? So far I've looked through my Squadron and Roll Models catalogues, but I've either missed this or they don't offer kits of these autos. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Well...after much searching on the Internet and calling hobby shops, I can't find my 1/35 scale Daimler......So, I've decided on Tamiya's Steyr Command car and the after market engine kit to push the 'look' over the top

Any hot leads before I order it this Friday???

u might a some cars in 1/32 scale...its a small difference (shhh but dont tell anyone)

It might be a small difference, but I just can't bring my anal self to do it...besides the more I think about using the Steyr, the more I like the idea. Especially the idea of showing the burned out engine compartment!
