***Building Materials***

Well Lone,
The building of a structure is your baby, choose the materials that suit you best. I have used styrene, cardstock, brass and wood for my 1/87 structures. Currently I am building a diorama that needed an old barn and decided to build it from wood. The roof is 600 grit sand paper. The folder URL below gives a very brief step-by-step and the finished product is at the end. Of course the books previously mentioned will be much more comprehensive and help much more than this I'm sure but until then.... Just click on the folder "dio build"

As you are in the U.K. you should be able to locate the two books I listed in the post quoted above.

Another material source you can use in 1/72 scale is cardboard from cereal boxes and different grades of paper. If you can locate the Architectural Modelling in 4mm scale book it is an excellent reference for building with cardstock and other materials like this.
