Need confirmation on a diorama idea

      The net is great for quick and dirty answers, but it is no match against a well equipped home library when it comes to specifics. When dealing with Elefants/Ferdinands, Jagdpanthers and Jagdtigers, there are only 2 books one needs, unfortunately, they are both $100 a pop. The Combat History of Schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 653 and it's companion volume; ".... " 654., are the definitive unit histories. With over 550 pages and 700+ photographs, these books are the last word on German heavy tank destroyers. The 653rd has just come out in paperback, at a fraction of the price, a mere $20 or so. But beware, if they are anything like the paperback volumes of Tigers in Combat, Volumes I and II, they are not the same book as the hardcover volumes. Smaller, lower resolution photos and poorer quality paper are the major differences, I have not compared them side by side to see if the text is the same.

Good detial info, Thanks!.  I just may stick to what is depicted on the box art,which is nearly identical to what you describe. FSM forum is way to cool.

Man, you guys really amaze me with ton of knowledge all of you have.  I wish I could be as detailed, but just don't know where to begin (thank god for this forum, where I can ask many questioins and get answers). 
Kykeon, besides doing research on internet, is there any other source that you use for references?  I'm trying to raise my knowledge to the next level and try to be as accurate as possible.

It sounds like really interesting diorama.  Good luck with your search for the info.  Unfortunately, I do not know much about this matter.

 

an answer to the snow in italy

snow happens as far down as rome( although that far down not too much)

the northern regions get alot of it about 1/4 of the country sits in the alps

beyond that

i am not helping you much
