It may help some, but sun bleaching will still occur if the model is left in direct sunlight.

Will dullcote also solve sunlight problems? I placed a model on the windowsill once, and the side facing the sun began to loose its coloring, while the other side kept its original appearance.

No.  Micro-Sol softens the decals so they adhere and stick to uneven surfaces better.  Dullcote seals them and makes them more prmanant.  You should always seal them whether you use Micro-Sol or not.

If I apply a coat of testors dullcote to a model, will this do the same job that micro-sol does for the decals? Or do I need to apply both?
