Allies on the Hunt - Sherman Firefly Dio complete.
Posted by marevic1 on Sunday, March 18, 2007 6:27 AM
Hi all,
here's my first completed dio, 'Allies on the Hunt'.
Set in France, 1944, an American Patrol has met a Sherman Firefly crew.
They've just spotted something (or someone) approaching in the distance.

Comments, suggestions, criticisms welcome.

Cheers,
Jurgen.

Wow, the tank looks beautiful, the weathering is awesome. The infantry look great, they are all tied into the sene. And the groundwork is simply amazing. And its only your first dio! Great Job, Keep it up.

David

On the bench:

1/35 Tamiya M26 Pershing-0%

1/144 Minicraft P-38J Lightning-50%

Numerous 1/35 scale figures in various stages if completion.

Thanks guys for all the positive and constructive feedback.

Here are some closer pics of the figures. Not overly happy with how they turned out.
It's something I really need to work on. Please forgive my average photography.

Cheers,
Jurgen.
ps. the figures are historically incorrect for this setting (which includes the uniform color), but I took artistic liecence here. Need to practice and refine the figure painting.

WOW, that's the first thought that came to mind!  The only, very, very, very minor thing I see is you may want to place a "tie down" on that front stowage.

Your figures are very good, btw, don't be so hard on yourself!
