Diorama "German Bunker"

I really do enjoy watching your work.  keep it up and post up more! 

This weekend I rebuilt the dio using styrofoam as bunker structure and coated it with plaster cement then painted with acrylic color. I made entrance into the bunker and added some figures to give some life to the dio. I also painted the inside and added some accessories in there. Here is it :

That's right, it is mould and the orange color suggests that it may be toxic one. You've given me some ideas about how to redo the dio. I can use styrofoam as bunker and make an entrance into it. I'll add some figures too. Thanks for your suggestion. Can you show your finished bunkers?

Three days after the making, this dio transformed itself into a mess, out of moisture and sunlight. So I'll just throw away the base, keep only the turrets and steel ring supporter. I'll make another base and this time the steel ring will be fully buried. But will the next one follow suit? I wonder...

I like it. A different and unusual dio. I never knew that the Germans reused turrets in that fashion....you learn something new every day.

PS: Keep 'em coming, we want to see more of YOUR work.

The ground worlk looks good and I really like the suppport for the StuG superstructure. The Pz I turret looks good, but it would make a weak emplacemnt but somewhat logically needed in this setting. The StuG superstructure on a raised surface like this make a pretty good target. It's use in this emplacement doesn't seem logical, however. The only apparent access is through the roof putting the crew in severe jeopardy if they have to abandon the post. The base would have had to be filled in and there is no traverse mechanism and the gun itself has virtually no traverse in the superstructure. Unless a lot of work would have been done, it could only fire down a narrow path and would only be useful in defending a pass. It would be vulnearble to infantry who could take out the Pz I with a burst from a .50 cal. and then apporach with explossives from three sides and take out the StuG.
