Perhaps not all dioramas,  lets say two vignettes...A couple of 1/72nd armour ..Airfix Sherman and Crusader with a "proper" diorama of a 1/32nd LRGD Truck thrown in!  Actually, I knew I chap who served with the LRDG and he was adamant that the trucks they used were painted Black!...However, I have never seen any evidence to support this.

Always good to see some 1/72 models up in the forums!

Nice job on the lot of them; one question though; was the Shermy brush painted, is there a funkiness to the wash on the turret side, or is it something with the way the camera captured it?  It actually looks like you didn't get the wash properly applied or something...?

Do ya have an airbrush? If so, I'd suggest not brush-painting the white underside of the driver's hatch as in the Crusader photo--looks a bit thick and sloppy.

Love the two Arab-looking guys on the LRDG!

BTW, I generally display most of my 1/72's in this way, like "abbreviated dio's"  or viginettes. Helps 'em not get lost on the shelf!

Looking forward to more!

Thanks for the interest and advice.  I was trying for a cast metal look on the Sherman.  With the naked eye at 1/72nd it looks passable.  The camera in some ways takes you way too close!  The hatch on the Crusader was again deliberate as I wanted to replicate the way crews often tried to wire brush the paint off so as to stop paint flakes whistling round the interior if they were hit.  Again the camera gets too close!  Maybe I need stronger loupes then I can see what the camera sees!!

Seeing you were interested heres my Russian T34 1/72nd effort
