first diorama in 25 years. i think i like doing them though my figure skills need improvement. this is called A SNAKE IN THE GARDEN, a 7.5cm AT gun engages lead elements of 30 corps, september 1944.

am working on a second one. this will be a 2 piece diorama called DER TUERKLOPFER UND DIE TUER (THE DOORKNOCKER AND THE DOOR) with one piece being a hastily deployed german 3.7cm AT gun and the other piece across the room being a soviet KV-1, 24june 1941.

Be nice to see a color photo, Wayne--however I think I saw this dio in a different thread...? If so, I remember it being very nicely portrayed.

Figure painting is an acquired skill, but a good set of magnifying glasses is a key component. I strongly recommend an "optivisor", available through Sqaudron, for one.

saw another diorama of a pak40. was the lid on the 4 round ammo box hinged or does it come off like i have it. the trees are fixed but everything else (gun, people, etc.) is moveable.

i need more tea before typing any more today.

that's the one. picked up a second one as well on sale. am working on a miniart 76.2cm soviet at gun. softer plastic which i am not sure if i like or not. more flash to remove but the softer plastic makes it easier but not any faster as i have to go slower. very interesting how different companies mold essentially the same parts differently.

used tamiya german green and red brown which are not the same colors as polyS german green and red brown.

I always use neutral gray when painting german figures. is it neutral gray cause on the box art it shows the germans wearing a greenish color which one is it cause im not that sure?

yup...that looks really nice, Wayne. Great trees, and very convincing groundwork! I can't really see the gun or figures close enough, but the dio gets its point across; it looks like the perfect place that a squad would set up an AT gun! Make a Toast [#toast]Yeah!! [yeah]
