Buddho,

Since you are still working on this project, I really don't have much to comment on it until you are finish with it.  I must say that camo job is very nice.

I love how the poses fit the scene perfectly, especially the poses.  You can tell it was built to fit them, not jsut a base with some figures thrown on.  Especially the guy crouching at the fence just looks great!

Looking good, Buddho. you're a machine!

The only thing popping into my mind is that I were the guy firing the panzerfaust, I'd be nervous doing it so close to that tree. Maybe it's an angle thing in the photo- I can't tell how wide of a berth he's giving it. Looking forward to this build up.

That ground work looks fantastic! The different angle shows me that the pzfaust has plenty of clearance. I spoke out of turn.

I like the balance of war / beauty that the colorful garden suggests. You are inspring me to get to work. Thanks.

Looking really good. Love the ground work and the use of cover for your guys. Well thoought out. Nice that you are giving good back blast crearance to the Panzerfaust.

On the grenades, are the white spots supposed to be wear? You might want to rethink that since those are use once and discard. Big Smile [:D] Also, and it may be toolate to address, look at the grenade on his right. It doesn't appear to be hanging straight down with gravity.

Thanks Steve and AJ.

AJ, you are right about the grenades...gravity doesnt seem to work as well at that scale, so I am saying they are swinging to and fro as he runs! Also, covered up the "grain" I was trying to show on the grenaded wooden handles...lol.

So....I think it is done. I hope you like it as much as I had fun making it...thanks again everyone for your comments and suggestions to help this one out:

This is really an excellently composeed dio! The figs look great, there's a sense of action, the camo is very nice, and the groundwork is fantastic! What did you use for the flowers? Thet're the most convincing I've ever seen!

Excellent!!!!

Okay, I'll buy his motion swinging the grenades. The handles look a lot better. The finished product is excellent.

Beautiful dio. Love the camo, although the smock/zeltbahns do appear to be painted in a combination of Heer and SS camo (splinters and dots together). Also, the standing figure's gas mask canister is a bit glossy-looking, although we can say that's because of the recent rain.

Equipment and uniforms look excellent, the building, fences and groundwork are superb. Your composition, while a bit cramped, is really good, and tell the story with a good fit for two figs. Overall I'd say this is a really nice dio. Good use of these two Dragon figs.

No problem, Outlands and thanks!

The yellow flowers are called achillea and the white ones are rice flowers. I found both in the dried floral section of Michael's arts and crafts store. I trimmed the flowers very short, drilled some holes in the dirt and used CA glue to hold them in place.

And since I failed to mention it last post - that is an AWESOME dio!  Definitely gave me something to shoot for on my GB project.

That is a fantastic scene! With only two figures you were able to capture the tension of hunting down a tank. I really like that little base, and will be saving those pics for future refrence. Excellent layout!

the figures, camo, especially the flower and the building turn out great. I wish I can paint my figures just like you did.

Thank you!

The house and base is made of 10 lb. density foam, covered with spackling compound. I then added wood to frame in the windows and roof. Cheap 2 inch wide paint brushes were used for the roof. Clear plastic was white glued in for broken windows.
