fallschirmjagers- Ardennes 1945
Posted by yeti0010 on Sunday, September 2, 2007 10:41 AM

I decided to take a break from my usual Luftwaffe planes.  The figures are Dragons 1/35 3rd fallschirmjager divison,  the groundwork is woodland senics railroad ballast covered with baking soda,  the fence was made out of match sticks.  It was a very enjoyable and cheap project that has inspierd me to try my hand at armor.

Yeti,

Overall, I like the ground work and how you placed your figures.  Can't really see much detail due to blurr and dark lighting of your photos. I think for your first figure project, it came out quite nicely and would be even better if you added some detail to faces (skin tones, eyes.....). I have difficulty painting figures and I really need a professional help or something.

You're off to a good start here. If you enjoyed that, you should keep going. Research sites that go into detail about painting flesh tones, and try another dio.

Nice work here.

AAAAAAAAAAAARGHH!!!  DON'T USE BAKING SODA FOR SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Seriously, folks--you're going to hate yourself when it starts to attack your paints or reacts with the glues and starts to break down!!
