PzFaust mold idea
Posted by Kevleerey on Friday, September 21, 2007 10:26 AM
Hi, all!
So I was working on a Panzerfaust the other day, and I thought, these would work better without that seam line, the 2 halves aren't even ligned up. So heres my idea: turn the parts down on a mini-lathe and mold them in a 1-pc. mold, then assemble using rod for  main tube.
Heres my problem- no mini lathe, or molding equipment(RTV, resin)
Do you yhink it'd work?

Did the pic work?
1-factory type mold
2-separate pieces mold w/o seam lines.
Thanks for  looking!

How 'bout now?

Cut/paste won't work on Firefox or something, so I'll try it at home.

I don't see why it couldn't work. Sounds feasable. They are pretty small parts to be turning down. If it helps, i have heard of people mounting a Dremel tool and using that as an improvised lathe....

On second thoughts, why don't you just find Tamiya's German Infantry Equipment set B (kit number 35205. It has a Panzerfaust in it. Also Tamiya's German Infantry Weapon Set (kit number 35111 has three diiferent types of Panzerfaust in the kit....

A set of needle files would be a lot cheaper...
