WIP Stug IV Dio
Posted by Junior73 on Saturday, October 27, 2007 1:08 PM

Been lurking on the sire for a while and thought that I'd share my first dio project.  Italeri Stug, waiting to be repainted since the instructions were incorrect, and Tamiya figures.  Still need to get some static grass and some more painting, but coming along slowly.

Any and all feedback/criticism accepted, since thats what makes us better!

Well what hits me first is that the guy on the left of the StuG--to the RIGHT of the photo--is looking like he's worried about something coming from the opposite side of the tank. So I don't think I'd have that other dude over there; the storyline just gets confused by it.

Looks like a decent idea; it'll be interesting to watch how it developes...

So far so good, but just like what the Doogster said, you may want to reposition the guy on the left kneeling to the other side.

Keep us posted with more pictures and that StuG is my favorite armor vehicle of all times! Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

You have a good layout there, JUNIOR 73.  Are you planning a spring, fall or winter setting?

Sign - Ditto [#ditto]......i agree with the Doog and M1.  I would move the crouching figure to the front left of the Stug, so that he is peering around the edge of the tank tracks. Leave the other two where they are, taking cover behind the bulk of the Stug. Taking cover from a sniper perhaps... I would also maybe take out the bit of raised ground and move the Stug over just a bit. Give a little more space to the left of the Stug to pose the figures. If you want something in the corner where the raised ground is, maybe a run down section of wall or fence.....

Hey, thats just my opinion, it's your dio............and it's looking good so far.....Make a Toast [#toast]

Sorry for the lack of updates.new baby thinks Ishould spend more time with her than modellingSmile [:)]

Buddho, I was thinking spring..but we'll see how it plays out.

Boomerang, that is where I had intended him originally.  After I did the groundwork, the StuG got pushed to far over for him to fit.  May have to see about slicing and dicing and see if I can get it back that way

Hopefully I can get something accomplished this weekend.
