Here's some pic's of my latest build.I built the KT but it looked to plain all by it's self so I had to make a base for it.The KT is from Dragon built oob,the tank commander I put together using parts from my stash of body parts. The zimmerit was applied with poly-s putty and aTamiya tool.I had to paint the charging knight's by hand becuase the kit's decal's broke apart when I put them in water. The street, fence and lamp post I made from scratch.I have a new one in the work's should be done in a couple month's.

I like the tram tracks and the manhole cover. These small details really make a difference.

Fine work here...you must have been an understudy to Vespa at some point to pull off that sublime base-work...

Thats amazing. You should do a tutorial on that base, i'd love to know how you did it, especially the tram tracks and manhole.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Excellent work, panzerguy. If anything, I'd like to see the street a little dirtier. But that's only me.

The base and figure really sets off the King Tiger. Lovely build!

Cheers

More than a journeymans job.  Tiger's great, not overdone (Lovely job on the tracks & 505's logo, I love to see hand painted markings.)fine looking figure to. Base & background look a little out of place to me, but that may be my own ignorrance of such things. TigerII's are my fave AFV, bravo on a sharp one.
The devil is in the details...and somtimes he's in my sock drawer. On the bench. Airfix 1/24 bf109E scratch conv to 109 G14AS MPC1/24 ju87B conv to 87G Rev 1/48 B17G toF Trump 1/32 f4u-1D and staying a1D Scratch 1/16 TigerII.

Hey Panzerguy,

Do I see a potential candidate for next years AMPSEast 'Best in Show'-threepeat???

Thanks browniii but no this wont be in the running.  I took this to AMPS 07 were it took a gold in armor. I'll start planning my next one soon.

As a display, it's one of the finest I've seen... As a diorama, it's kinda weak...  Missing two key ingredients: Action and Story...  Something as simple as adding another figure, perhaps a Panzergrenadier with a map talking with the TC and maybe pointing his men's positions on the map to the TC, would add quite a bit...

Workmanship is above reproach though....

Wow, that's a sweet KT, bro! I am impressed by your hand-painted turret markings(?!). I'm lucky if I can get markings to look that good with decals. Overall, the tank is fantastic. Very nice job.

JT thanks man.  The turret markings were definatly a pain.

Hans thanks to you to my friend. I never really ment this to be a dio. Even if I have no plans on placing a build in a dio I still like to put my stuff on a base to give it more of a visual effect.

Well, given what I've seen from you, there's no reason you can't be a helluva dio-builder, man... I hope you consider it someday...  There are simply too few of us out here...
