Masking tape for cloth things. I don't use too much of the real vegitation from outside as it usually ends up looking a little out of scale and goofy (Personal pref here people so don't get upset). Popsicle sticks and toothpicks. The spice cupboard has all sortsa great things for dio's. The inside of cardboard ceareal boxes, man, 101 great uses; the most important being airfeild runways. Cat litter and fish tank supplies. Old cd cases, plastic packaging for scratch detailing. Imagination is really the best tool brother, then the rest will just come naturally!  HAVE FUN MAN!!

I love the smell of super glue in the morning. Smells like...victory.

New guy and Fender Man it's really a case of looking around and using what ever you find to your own purposes....a slight change in the way you think about the things you see everyday.

Household materials?

Alright, as soon as I get my 1/72 concorde off of the workbench (shouldn't be too far away now) I can begin my first diorama. Recently I've heard a lot about people on here using household materials, one person made a dio purely out of houseold stuff. I should be able to think of a sh##load of things off the top of my head, but I just can't, I can only think of a few, like foam from electrical goods boxes; newspaper (mache); discarded wiring; metal bits and peaces and vegetation from the back yard. I'm sure there's thousands of other things from around the house that I can use but it's just not hitting me. When other people tell me what else I can use I'll be like oh my god, why didn't I think of that, but anyway. Any input would be fantastic. Also might you be able to tell me what you can use what for exactly (e.g you can use foam as a base etc).?

Cheers
