try to shoot with a smaller apature {f16 instead of f2.8 as an example} and a slower speed will get more depth of field on the pictures,

if it is a point and shoot, it might help if you get farther away from the model

I say this because I cannot see the scratch add ons you did and I would like to.... 

Sorry, don't know about shutter speed, exposure and such but took two more pics anyway...hope these reveal more of the "Scratch" in my "Built".

I'll even throw in 2 bonus pics of a scene I call "Panzerjager-Man vs. Machine"

Thanks, and by all means "steal" them!  The good thing about using the monofilament fishing line is that it reacts really well to the "plastic weld" type of chemical adhesives...welds right onto wherever you want it....drill a small hole there first where you plan to attach it, put a drop into the hole, let it melt for a minute and stick in the "cable"  those have been welded in place for over 20 years and are as "in place" as ever.
