Tiger II in the Buldge

Hi all

Here are a few pics of a diorma i completed a couple of months ago. This was originally started over 5 years ago but half way through i had to give up the hobby. I started again before xmas and apart from fixing the ones that had broken, this was the first one i completed.

Ok, i think i have sorted it. Hope you can see them ok now.

I hope you enjoy and any comments or suggestions would be most welcome.

I'm not sure what i am doing wrong. when ever i try to re-size them on photo bucket they just end up the same size. I am away from home at the moment, but when i get home next week i'm going to reload the images from my home PC and try again. This is the first time i have used one of these hosting sites. I have the same pics on the IPMS-UK site and they are the same. Hopefully next week with my own PC and more time than i have availible here i can fix it.

Sorry you've gotten no help on that issue yet, Bish. I stop in here now and then to see what you guys are up to.

I can't offer advice at all about re-sizing.........I just upload pics from the camera to Photobucket.....do my due to get them onto FSM.....and they're okay. I'm no expert.

Perhaps your own PC will treat things better......or someone will help in this thread.

There is a forum here at FSM for such questions. Waaaaaaaaay down near the bottom of the list.

Good Luck!

I think i know what i did wrong. When i put them onto photo bucket i shrunk them. I reckon i made them to small and now when i try to re-size them again it won't work. I am currently in the Falklands and PC time is a bit limited. But i have the originals back home so going to re-load them and try again next week as i have some leave so will have plenty of time to re work them.

Thanks mate. The only danger in the Falklands in the biteing wind and the penguins. Though not as warm as Iraq its deffinatly safer.

I fly home tomorrow and after 3 months am looking forward to getting back to my models, though i imagine the girlfriend has other plans in store for me Wink [;)]

Bish,

The easiest way I know of to solve the problem of the picture size is to take the original photo at a higher resolution (i.e. 7megapixels vs. 3megapixels). Hope this helps and watch out for those windy, biting penguins! Tongue [:P]

Do the penguins still get buzzed? I saw a clip a while ago, where they all watched the plane
(F4, that dates it) and rather than turn around as the plane flew over, kept leaning back, and back, well, you get the picture.....

Apparently that used to happen alot with the helicopters. They try to stay away from them these days, i think they can't fly within 1,000 m. I worked close to the choppers out there and never saw it happening.

unfortunatly, yes i did. When i mention in the thread about snow that i had used bakeing soda on one dio, this is it. As you can see though, the tank isn't touching it, only the guys standing by the building. I have some woodland scenics snow on route and its going to get re done. This was finished in fed and so far its doing ok, but i ain't takeing the risk after reading your post on the dangers.

EEEEK!!! Laugh [(-D]

Well good call on redoing it--it's certainly worth redoing! Even though it's not mixed in with paint or anything, if you fixed it with lacquer, you might have the same problems; plus, the BS will turn yellow after a while, and apparently, it attracts bugs as well?! YECH! Dead [xx(]

Well at least you only did one with Baking Soda! NOw you're wiser! Big Smile [:D]
