I got the opportunity to place the decals on the Avenger at night due to the humidity during the day, sealed and added a wash to the TBF.  I used the CreativeFX brown Stain #7930 at a approximately 10 to 15 psi.  Here are the results.

Thank you,

Toshi

"COMPLETED" Trumpeter 1:32 TBF 1C Avenger.

To my fellow forum members,

This build was interesting as I can tell that Trumpeter is trying to compete with Tamiya's 1:32 series of aircraft.  As much as they tried, it still falls short on a few things.  Directions at times were not done clearly nor was the fit and finish on some of the pieces.  Most irrational was the PE, some of the cuts were backwards.  Luckily I was able to take some scrap PE and use a metal cutter to form and correct the issue.

That's just three items, still, not bad at all for competition against Tamiya.  I and many forum members have noticed how large this build is.  GMorrison correctly and clearly stated that the Avenger has a crew of three and a torpedo.  My nickname for this build was the "Pregnant Guppy"!  Big Smile

Ultimately, the build was fun, challenging, stressful, but very exciting to say the least.  I truly enjoyed this build.  I've learned a good many lessons from forum members but the most pertinent of all was to have a great time!  This one thing, I have accomplished!

Below, I have only three photos of the Avenger, please except my apologies as my hands are shaking really bad this evening.  The TBF is here for your enjoyment and viewing.  Any critique good or bad is most welcomed and recommended.  As always, thank you so much for this opputunity.
